Surya Nepal began its Leaf Development activities with commercial production in 1990/1991, involving over 6000 farmers and supporting 20000 farm labourers. The company continues to ensure quality production through improved practices and technical support to improve the livelihoods of the farming community involved in leaf development. Since 2018, Surya Nepal has been exporting tobacco to other countries, opening new opportunities in the global market.
