Surya Nepal Gatha, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of Surya Nepal aims to promote and preserve Nepali literature, art, culture, and archaeological heritage. It has patronized the country’s biggest literature event—the Surya Nepal Gatha Nepal Literature Festival—organized by the Bookworm Foundation. The literature festival held in Pokhara, in February 2024 featured over 50 sessions and 150 speakers, along with musical events, exhibitions, book launches, workshops and a variety of interactive activities.
The panels and discussions at the Surya Nepal Gatha Nepal Literature Festival offered an ideal platform for writers, journalists, and public figures to address pressing issues and timeless conundrums that Nepalis face. The discourses covered a wide array of themes such as literature, society, culture, art, and governance, among others.
The festival was attended by over 17700 people and was well received by the audience, media, speakers and panelists.
